Parade Schedule and Registration

Parade Date & Time: Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
Parade Theme: Backyards & BBQ's

Participant Arrival Time: Gate opens at 7:00 a.m.
Arrival Location: Academy Sports Complex - Rhodes Stadium, East Gate
1733 Katy Fort Bend Road, Katy, Texas 77493
Cost: There is no charge to participate in the parade.
Pre-Registration-Required:Registration is open until Friday, February 16, 2022
Participation Requirement: All parade entries will be required to pre-register with:

a) 2022 Parade Registration Form which includes a detailed description of your entry with theme, type of business, participants and type of decorations, signed and submitted in advance.

b) 2022 Katy Rodeo Waiver and Release from Liability Form, signed and submitted in advance. This does not need to be notarized. ONLY ONE WAIVER AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY FORM PER GROUP/ORGANIZATION IS REQUIRED.

c) The parade is a community and family friendly event. As such all entries should avoid controversial advertisements and inappropriate behavior and/or music selections.

d) All entries will be screened to insure compliance with Katy ISD policies regarding prohibited items such as tobacco, alcohol and drug products.

e) Anyone bringing a horse is required to present a Negative Coggins upon arrival. Without this you will be asked to leave the premises.

f) The Parade Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to the staging area and the parade to any entry that does not comply with the above.

Parade Day Registration: WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
If you are considering an entry in the parade, you must pre-register. If your plans change and you cannot participate, we ask that you e-mail prior to parade time so a place is not held for you.
Parade Route: Parade will depart the West gate of Rhodes Stadium onto Katyland Drive and end at Katy High School on FM 1463. See MAP below.
Judging: Parade Judging Categories are:
  • Adult General
  • Cars, Toys and Tractors
  • Churches/Church Organizations
  • Civic Organizations
  • Commercial
  • Cowboys/Cowgirls
  • Performing/Marching Groups
  • School Organizations
  • Scouting Organizations
  • Performing for Judges: Any group that wishes to perform for the judges MUST be ready to start their performance when they reach the judges stand. Each group will have 30 Seconds to perform. After 30 seconds, you will be asked to move on so the parade can run smoothly.
    Awards: First, second and third place will be awarded in each judging category. Winners will be available by e-mailing after 2:00 p.m. on parade day. All awards will be mailed.
