Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo
|
For nearly three weeks each year, the Houston Livestock Show will fill Reliant Center and Reliant Arena with world-class
livestock exhibitors bringing their best stock for evaluation by professional judges. Aside from the exhibitors, more
than 1 million Show visitors are expected to view livestock ranging from cattle and sheep to horses and rabbits.

Katy ISD
|
Katy ISD is a flourishing suburban school district that encompasses 181 square miles in east Texas.
Its eastern boundaries stretch to Houston's energy corridor approximately 16 miles west of downtown
Houston and extend along Interstate 10 to a few miles west of the city of Katy.

L.D. Robinson Scholarship
|
The L. D. Robinson Scholarship Fund was established in 1970 to honor L.D.
Robinson, founder of the Katy I.S.D. FFA Livestock Show, Rodeo, and Agriculture
Science Farm (1943) by former students, the Katy I.S.D. Administration, Texas
Education Agency, and the Katy Community. This type of program and concept was
the first of its kind on a local school level in the nation. The scholarship was
created in appreciation of Mr. Robinson's 44-year commitment and service to
Texas education, including the organization of youth and civic programs, and
contributions to the FFA and agriculture science programs at the district, state
and national levels.

Texas FFA, District VII, Area III
|
District VII, Area III Association was established in 2008. 23 schools make
up the district from Cy Fair ISD, Katy ISD, Spring Branch ISD, and Lamar CISD.

Texas FFA
|
The Texas FFA Association was chartered in 1929. Currently, 60,945 students are members of the Texas FFA.
There are approximately 970 active FFA chapters in Texas. The Texas FFA membership accounts for
approximately 14% of the national membership total.
