Mutton Bustin'


 REGISTRATIONS ARE FEBRUARY 3rd, 2024. PLEASE READ BELOW TO ASSURE RIDER QUALIFIES.

The entry fee is $40.00 (Cash, Check w/DL, or Credit Card with ID)

 Registration day is February 3, 2024 at noon, Location is at the L.D. Robinson Pavilion (5801 Katy Hockley Cut Off).
 Mutton Bustin' will take place at the rodeo facility on Katy Hockley Cutoff Rd.
 Form availability: Will NOT be posted online
 Age Limit: 5-8 years old; Weight Limit: 60 lbs. or lighter
 The child must be 5-8 years of age at the time they ride.
 Birth Certificate (Legible Copy)
 Copy of CURRENT or Actual Report Card from School
 If child is not enrolled in a public school – proof of address (within KISD)
 Child Participant must be present at sign up as we will be weighing each child at sign up to make sure they conform to the weight requirements.
 A notary will be on site to notarize all documents.
 Forms will NOT be available on website (Mutton Bustin Committee will print them and have them available at sign in).
 Mutton Bustin Committee will verify all documents presented so that proof at time of registration is validated.
 First 60 children in line will be confirmed to ride provided all requirements for entry are met. Remainder of children will be taken as alternates (up to 4 per night) – no payment of entry required for alternates.
 We will draw for the night they will ride as they register – no switching of dates allowed.
 Entry Fee MUST be paid at sign up.
 Refunds provided only if cancellation is done at least 24 hours prior to the start of the day they are set to ride or if we are able to fill the spot with an alternate.
 Instructions will be given to each parent as well as emailed out to everyone once registration is complete.
 NO SPECIAL FAVORS FOR ANYONE (i.e. COMMITTEE MEMBERS, FAMILY OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS, SPONSORS, DISTRICT EMPLOYEES, ETC.)

NOTE: You will be able to purchase Pre-Sale Rodeo tickets during the Mutton Bustin registration.

Credit Cards will be accepted for Mutton Bustin Registration and Pre-Sale Rodeo Tickets

Jr. Barrels (Jr. Breakaway no longer available)

 2025 Katy ISD Jr. Barrel Race
 February 13-15, 2025 @ 7pm during rodeo perf. (after CPRA Barrel Race)
 Katy ISD's Billy Morgan Arena
 Entry Fee - $30.00
 Age Limit: High School Senior and Under
 Jr. Barrel Race participants must live/attend school within the Katy ISD boundaries
 Must show report card or driver's license, utility bill showing KISD address
 Proof of current Coggins must be provided upon entry to rodeo grounds
 One entry per rider
 Must complete entry requirements and credit card payment info to hold spot by February 8th
 Dress Code: Jeans, long sleeve shirt and Cowboy hat or helmet
 60 seconds to enter arena when name is called or dangerous horse behavior, will result in a NO TIME
 Must run on night designated by Katy Rodeo Committee
 Buckle awarded to 1st place winner
 No drag. Will run on different pattern than CPRA Barrel Race

 Text riders name, horse's name, phone number, email and your first, second and third choice of performances(1st perf. Thursday Feb 15, 2nd pref. Friday Feb. 16, 3rd perf. Saturday Feb17) AFTER 6 PM on Feb. 8th to 713-569-7395. EARLY TEXTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. 24 spots available (8 each night)
